Based in the beautiful and historic city of Cambridge, Vanderlyle is a small restaurant that works directly with farmers, growers, producers and suppliers to create ingredient-led menus that ebb and flow through the seasons. Led by chefs Alex Rushmer and Lawrence Butler, Vanderlyle’s primary focus is on sourcing and cooking local, ethical and sustainable produce and using it to create a daily changing menu with the food that our suppliers deliver to us every morning.

The Hole in the Wall was an award-winning restaurant & free house in Little Wilbraham, Cambridge, run by Alex and his team between 2011 and 2017.
Under Alex's ownership The Hole in the Wall proudly held two AA Rosettes, was regularly voted as one of the best restaurants in the country by the Observer Food Monthly Awards, and was included as one of The Sunday Times' UK's Top 100 Restaurants in 2017.
